For individuals

For you

Portable proof for whenever an important decision is on the line — build it once, reuse it across web and mobile.

Audience: everyday members using TumiTrust on web or mobile.

Portable Trust Infrastructure (PTI) is not only for banks and partners — you are part of the same network. You build proof from community validation and verified activity; when an important decision is on the line, you share that proof or someone runs a trust lookup on the platform.

Institution or verifier? See For institutions. Partner ingesting data? See For partners.

How you relate to institutions and partners

Everyone uses the same trust layer — different surfaces, same ideas:

RoleWhoWhat they doHow it touches you
Individual (you)MembersBuild profile, share Trust CV, run lookups when neededYou control what you share; your activity and validations feed your trust profile
Trust producerShops, lenders, telcos, platformsSend verified activity into PTITheir signals can appear in your context indicators when linked to your profile
Trust consumerBanks, landlords, employersRun trust report lookupsThey may request a formal report when their process requires it — not the same as you emailing a PDF
VerifierSome institutionsIssue badges and run credential checksAdds durable verification to your profile

TumiTrust does not lend, hire, rent, or decide for third parties — organizations make their own choices using the proof the platform surfaces.

Three ways trust travels

PathWho starts itTypical costWhat the other party gets
Trust CVYou shareFree in usual member flowsYour trust profile (link / QR) — not a full institution report
Trust lookup (you → them)You on someone elseYour credits (or included quota on your plan)Structured trust report for your decision
Trust lookup (them → you)An organization (or another member) on youTheir creditsStructured report for their process — often with a Report ID they can reference

Practical rule: share Trust CV when asked for proof; expect a formal lookup when their desk or policy requires a report. Organizations use the same lookup product from the institution hub or API — see Trust platform API.

Trust contexts in everyday life

Trust is context-scoped — rental history and merchant activity do not collapse into one mystery number. There are 20+ documented life-area contexts (10 primary, 10 lens). You see the contexts relevant to your profile; institutions request specific contexts when they run a lookup.

Full ID list: Documented trust contexts (same vocabulary consumers and producers share).

Common questions

Is the platform free?

Yes for building your profile, connections, endorsements, and Trust CV sharing. Trust lookups debit credits from whoever runs the check (you or an organization), as posted in product.

Do I need mobile money connected?

No. Connectors are optional; community validation and badges alone can carry a strong profile.

Who can see my trust profile?

  • What you share: Trust CV and connection visibility follow your settings.
  • Trust lookups: Organizations and members with credits and product entitlements may run a lookup under platform rules and applicable law — different from casually browsing search results. See Trust lookup in the glossary.

What if I miss a payment on a loan or lease?

TumiTrust does not service your contract. Non-performance may affect in-product signals over time; contact the institution you owe first. Product support: hi@tumitrust.com.
